The Clarion-Limestone Area School District Board celebrated long service and accepted retirements before approving a range of personnel actions.
Public commenter Ken Marquardt and board members paid tribute to three retirees: Donna Smith, Teresa Seifert and Kim Burkhart; the board publicly thanked them for more than 90 combined years of service.
On motions during the meeting the board approved special-education agreements, awarded tenure to multiple teachers, and approved employment contracts and hires effective for the 2025-26 school year. Notable personnel approvals included:
- Evening custodial supervisor contract for Andrew Rossen (07/01/2025'06/30/2030), - Hiring a school police officer effective 07/01/2025 through 06/30/2028 (agreement language adjusted for a reimbursement figure), - Part-time office clerk (Caitlin Dixon) at $16/hour (not to exceed 29.5 hours/week), - A special-education teacher (Rachel Greviec) and other certified hires pending required documentation, - Several summer custodial substitutes and volunteer approvals for athletics.
All personnel motions recorded in the meeting were approved by motion and roll-call vote unless noted otherwise. The board indicated the hires are contingent on receipt of required legal documentation where specified.
