Staff presented multiple consent items covering student events, field trips and technology renewals at the Oct. 16 committee meeting.
The committee was asked to approve Academy Park Senior Prom at the Waterfall Room in Claymont, Del., in Feb. 2026 and the junior prom at the Lazaretto Ballroom on March 27, 2026. Staff also requested approval for the Academy Park High School cheerleading team to attend the Naval Academy halftime event in Annapolis on Nov. 15, 2025.
On technology and subscriptions, staff read a proposed one-year renewal for ClassLink single-sign-on at a cost of $18,379 to be paid from the general fund and a one-year Destiny Library Systems (Follett) renewal not to exceed $6,639.80. The presenter also listed multiple conference attendance requests with per-person cost caps.
All of these items were presented as agenda/consent items; the committee transcript does not record formal votes on the listed approvals during the committee meeting.
