Monica Deep, a Salisbury graduate and former director of student activities, was recognized tonight on the Salisbury Township School District Wall of Honor.
Heather Morningstar introduced Deep and described her as the "engine that kept our activities and athletics running smoothly," citing logistic coordination, volunteer recruitment and the many informal relationships Deep built across the community. "She's more than deserving," Morningstar said.
Accepting the recognition, Monica Deep thanked Morningstar, colleagues and the board and recognized family and former colleagues who attended. She reflected on volunteer work at concession stands, supporting coaches and building relationships: "I loved and still love to promote the positive," she said. The board and staff took photos and placed a plaque on the district Wall of Honor located near the building exit.
The board then moved on to student reports and the main business agenda.
