A staff presenter answered that the district’s team shared information with health and physical education teachers across schools and that participation in the pilot is voluntary. “From my understanding our team reached out to share the information with all of our … health and PE teachers. And it’s just a voluntary opportunity,” the staff member said.
Director Walker asked for an overview of the pilot. The staff member said the initiative is not limited to a handful of sites and that district staff are planning to roll it out to multiple schools over the next several years.
