The district won an overall league sportsmanship award after eight teams received individual sportsmanship recognition; several individual and team postseason achievements and state qualifiers were highlighted, including state medalists named in the presentation.
The director listed program initiatives including a student leadership club, a new parent handbook, new huddle cameras to support streaming, efforts to centralize facilities calendars, and steps to increase weight-room participation and coaching evaluations. He asked the board to consider a stipend for an assistant boys tennis coach following previous support for an assistant girls tennis stipend.
Board members and parents congratulated athletes, coaches and volunteer leaders. The board said an on-site banner commemorating the league sportsmanship award will be displayed in school facilities.
