The Lehigh School District Board of Directors recognized maintenance worker Eric Cole for staff excellence during its Oct. 15 meeting.
A presenter nominated Cole as the district’s staff recognition recipient, saying, "Eric is by far the best, lead maintenance worker I've ever come in contact with," and praising his responsiveness and proactive approach to building needs. Members noted Cole’s work in supporting the Career Academy and helping with a kitchen remodel tied to an OB CEF grant.
Administrators and board members joined in applause and thanked Cole for his service. The recognition was presented as part of the district’s ongoing staff acknowledgement program.
Why it matters: Routine acknowledgements like this highlight non-instructional staff whose work supports school operations and student programs. Trustees asked staff to continue recognizing employees who contribute above and beyond their duties.
The meeting proceeded to other business after the recognition.
