The Lehigh School District Board of Directors approved routine financial business and advanced a package of committee motions at its Oct. 15 meeting.
Board Chair (identified in the record as Chair) opened the meeting and, after roll call, the board voted to approve the meeting minutes from Sept. 24, the Commonwealth Funds report for September 2025, the list of bills for 09/19/2025–10/09/2025 and the treasurer’s report for the month ending Sept. 30. Each item passed on roll-call votes called during the meeting.
The board then considered a policy and legislative committee proposal to take motions 1–30 to the full board while excluding motion 26 for further drafting. The committee chair asked the board to advance motions 1–25 and 27–30; the package was approved by roll call. The committee said the language for motion 26 needs more work to “better align with some of the requests from other board members,” and the board deferred that motion for future revision.
Why it matters: Approving routine financial reports and committee motions keeps district operations on schedule and clears several agenda items for staff implementation. Holding motion 26 for redrafting signals the board’s interest in clarifying policy language before taking formal action.
Board members spoke briefly during the approvals but offered no recorded opposition during the roll calls. The meeting record shows multiple committees reported to the board and that standard governance business was completed without further debate.
The board adjourned after confirming there would be no executive session that evening.
