At its Dec. 8 meeting, the Oley Valley School District Board accepted the resignation of the district treasurer (named in the meeting record) and elected Andrew Klein to finish the current one-year term (ending 6/30/2026). The board noted the treasurer shall be bonded annually.
A board member nominated Andrew Klein and the board approved the appointment by voice vote. Board members followed with a motion to approve the treasurer’s report for the month ending Nov. 30, 2025; that report was approved by roll call.
The board also approved routine business by roll call across several committees: minutes as presented; a motion related to commonwealth phones; payment of bills; and a set of seven personnel motions presented together by Dr. Markley. The personnel slate passed without discussion; the chair noted one of the candidates on motion seven is an Oley Valley graduate. Student-activities items—approval of youth baseball and Science Explorers Day-Off Camp flyers for distribution to specified grade bands—and acceptance of a $1,000 PSBA donation to the TSA student activity account were also approved.
Board members recorded their votes on roll calls for the listed motions; the meeting transcript records affirmative votes sufficient to pass each motion.
Next procedural steps: the board confirmed that newly elected treasurer Andrew Klein will receive transition materials (a binder was handed off during the meeting) and accepted the treasurer’s report as posted online. The board did not identify additional conditions attached to the hires or motions recorded.
