For the middle school the total average school climate score was 2.64 (the district explained a score of 3.4 or above is considered favorable; 2.5–3.39 is neutral). Administrators said social‑emotional learning domain scores were just below the neutral cutoff for some groups and recommended continued focus in that area.
The district also shared new data from its bus‑patrol camera system: since implementation there were 219 notifications and staff found 177 incidents that resulted in citations for school‑bus stop‑law violations. The administration said it expects that number to decline as drivers become aware of camera enforcement.
District representatives highlighted other positive indicators: an apparent downward trend in incidents reported to the district police compared with earlier school years, and broad support from students and staff for the presence of school police officers in the schools (survey responses indicated over 95% of students and nearly 98% of employees who responded said that school police officers made them feel safer).
Board members praised the data presentation and noted the bus‑patrol results while expressing hope enforcement will reduce violations over time.
