The board heard a student report on Jan. 14 highlighting recent academic-club successes.
The mock trial team competed at the University of Pittsburgh Cathedral Classic and placed 10th; Karla McKenna earned an outstanding-attorney mention. The FBLA delegation qualified 33 members for the state conference, with multiple first-place finishes and several students advancing to national competitions. Academic Decathlon participants earned medals across subjects, and the varsity team continues a strong record of performances.
Board members praised the students and coaches, noting the clubs often receive less community attention than athletics despite strong results.
The board formally thanked the students and their families for community service and academic representation.
