The Millersburg Area School District board approved a range of routine and personnel items during its meeting, including minutes from recent sessions, bills and disbursements, and consent action items covering field trips, policy items and contracts.
Key approved items included the resignation of Valerie Hall, approval of substitutes, and hiring for the girls volleyball coach position. The vote to approve the girls volleyball coach recorded two abstentions (Missus Gray and Mister Peterson) and otherwise passed 6–2.
The board also approved the creation of MDS teacher and paraprofessional positions for the next school year and an additional teacher position funded by Title I; district staff noted a small wording change to clarify how some paraprofessionals will be absorbed into a special-education paraprofessional pool.
An athletic trainer contract (CPRS) for the next year was approved, and the board set a priority to review the press-box contract at the next meeting. Several roll-call votes were recorded in the meeting minutes for bills, personnel and contract approvals.
