Morrisville board approves personnel actions, student placements, payments and police MOU

At its regular meeting, the Morrisville Borough School District board approved a slate of routine personnel and finance actions, and authorized a two-year memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Morrisville Borough Police Department.
The board approved tuition reimbursement for the 2025–26 fall semester (motion carried 7–0). It also approved personnel matters as presented (7–0), and authorized two field placements at no cost to the district: Liam Getty (student teacher from Holy Family University, Jan. 12–Apr. 24, 2026) and Katherine Fisher (counseling field work from Jan. 5–Apr. 22, 2026) (both approved 7–0).
On the consent agenda the board approved the investment report, the treasurer’s report and payment of bills. The meeting record showed payments with a total reported of $187,808.81 (general fund, ACH and other listed line items); the business manager said approximately $1.4 million in subsidies was expected by Nov. 25 and that about half had been received.
The policy committee report was presented and the board approved several policies for first reading, several for second reading, and multiple administrative regulations as listed on the agenda; one policy (policy 918) was held pending additional information. The board also approved the district’s memorandum of understanding with the Morrisville Borough Police Department, a measure Chair described as a standard, two-year agreement required by district policy.
All recorded motions on these items carried by voice vote with the chair announcing “Motion carries 7–0.” The chair and board members offered acknowledgements to outgoing members and closed the meeting.
What happens next: The business office will continue budget preparations for 2026–27 and the board will review first-look budget materials in January.
