Administrators highlight back-to-school successes, internships, and new partnerships

The district is piloting a swimming program with the YMCA for second grade and coordinating field-trip lessons for fourth grade with a grant-supported program from "Ned Smith." Speaker 5 also said Pine Creek Structures donated a picnic bench for the playground and credited staff members and community volunteers for supporting a successful red-carpet back-to-school event and photo outreach.
Board members praised the first day of school and reported that recently installed athletic lights are completed and functioning; the business office noted the related Musco lighting bill was paid from a DCED grant. Administrators also thanked custodial staff for quick turnover between lunch and afternoon activities.
