"At this point, it's locked — all hours — due to liability. We've had students there doing things they shouldn't be doing," the superintendent said, explaining that damage and graffiti have previously required removal or repair. Board members emphasized that the playground serves K–2 students and that damage or removal of equipment reduces what is available to those young children.
Trustees suggested residents with ongoing concerns may be referred to administrators for further discussion. No formal policy change or vote regarding unlocking the playground was recorded at the meeting.
