The Millersburg Area School District board moved through several routine agenda items and approved minutes, financial reports, personnel recommendations and two overnight student trips during its regular meeting.
Actions approved included:
- Approval of the Dec. 18 regular meeting minutes (voice vote). - Approval of routine financial reports and balances (motion and voice/roll call as presented by the business office). - Approval of bills and disbursements (motion and roll call). - Personnel approvals: a recommendation to make Kirsten Long a permanent paraprofessional (motion and roll call), recognition of the retirement of paraprofessional Kathy Tuffman effective May 29, approval of a supplemental contract for Ryan Shoop as assistant boys volleyball coach, and approval of a $2 pay differential for specified paraprofessionals (see separate coverage). - Overnight field trip approvals for the Leadership Academy in April and a music/band trip in March.
Where roll call was recorded, those votes were recorded as affirmative by the named board members; when a voice vote was used, the board chair called for ayes and none opposed. No controversial or binding policy changes were enacted; several items were procedural or personnel in nature and were approved as presented. The meeting adjourned after member sharing and a president's report.
