The board accepted DeFilbio’s resignation and authorized administration to post the position. Trustees also approved hiring Bethany Sprouts as a paraeducator retroactive to Nov. 18, 2024, and approved hiring Hayden Badillion and Darlene Badillion pending required clearances and medical exams.
In a single slate of motions the board approved several substitute and additional hires for the 2024–25 school year pending receipt of required background checks and Act 126/Act 168 verifications. Approved names included substitute teachers, substitute secretaries and food‑service employees, as well as bus drivers for First Student and DG and C.
Financial and procedural notes: one payment item later in the meeting approved payment of an invoice to Andrews and Bridal for $3,825; the personnel approvals were made under routine consent motions and carried by voice vote.
What happens next: the administration will proceed with posting the social‑studies vacancy and complete required clearances for the newly hired staff.
