Board approves accounts payable, Parkway West budget and extra activity worker list

The board voted to approve the accounts payable list for the month ending Jan. 31, 2025. The board also approved the Parkway West budget for the 2025–26 year as presented; the superintendent noted the budget represents Parkway West’s overall budget for the year and includes the district’s portion.
On activities and athletics, the board approved a list of extra activity workers for the 2024–25 school year and described typical duties (ticket takers, clock operators, and other event tasks). A member asked about the scope of the worker role and the board described that names go into a pool of positions for games and events.
Before adjourning, the board reminded members of a Buildings & Grounds meeting scheduled for Jan. 25 to review a facilities study with architects; light refreshments were noted for that session.
All finance and activities items were approved by motion and recorded as carried.
