Members also discussed timing: several suggested adopting substantive committee-structure changes to coincide with the board’s annual reorganization, rather than implementing changes midterm. Staff noted the policy could be drafted to take effect at reorganization next year if the board preferred.
The committee did not adopt a policy at the meeting; members asked staff to refine drafts and return with clearer language about which policies would be assigned to which committee and options for effective dates tied to reorganization.
