The Keystone Oaks School District Board voted to approve several personnel and compensation items, including superintendent compensation for 2025–26 following a superintendent evaluation (completed 06/09/2025) that resulted in a 'distinguished' rating. The board also approved an addendum to the superintendent’s contract covering 2022–2027.
Board members moved and approved routine personnel matters: acceptance of resignations, appointments of professional employees and substitute staff, mentor-teacher payments consistent with the KOEA collective bargaining agreement, extra activity/athletic worker appointments and stipends, and the renewal of the confidential employee compensation plan for 07/01/2025–06/30/2030. The board approved a multi-year support-professional agreement (07/01/2025–06/30/2029) with the Keystone Oaks Educational Support Professional Association and approved an MOU involving the Keystone Education Association (PSEA/NEA) and the district.
During discussion members clarified hiring procedures: new hires who are not current employees must complete background checks and mandatory drug testing; current employees with up-to-date clearances are treated differently. The board also approved textbook adoption for science (2025–26) and a range of individual contract compensations.
Several settlement agreements and releases were approved and recorded in the meeting minutes (employee and student settlement items identified by internal file numbers). All personnel and compensation motions were carried by voice vote.
