Kutztown students win regional awards; Odyssey of the Mind high-school team advances to world finals

Jocelyn, the student representative, said the Odyssey of the Mind high-school team placed second at state competition and will attend world finals at Michigan State University in late May. Jocelyn described preliminary fundraising plans: "...we're gonna do after we get all our fundraisers and stuff approved, we'll probably have, like, a GoFundMe for it...it's a net cost of 10,000 and registration itself is just 6,000," she said, and noted the team will seek sponsorships and sell shirts.
The board and administration offered congratulations and recognized coaches and advisers for their roles in student success. The district noted that travel costs and fundraising will be handled by the team and approved fundraisers, with further details to be shared when available.
