Superintendent Mr. Temciano used the board meeting to highlight recent student achievements across athletics, music and career‑readiness activities, and he thanked community partners who supported experiential learning.
Mr. Temciano named wrestlers and swimmers who placed at sectionals and district meets, and he noted the girls’ basketball team’s 14–10 season and playoff qualification for the first time in years. He also recognized several students chosen for regional music events and noted staff and parent contributions to those programs.
The superintendent described recent career‑readiness work: mock interviews conducted with volunteers from Fleetwood Bank, Strategic Education Inc., and other community partners; and a financial reality fair run with First Commonwealth Credit Union that simulated household budgeting for seniors. “We were fortunate to get direct feedback on the spot,” Mr. Temciano said, thanking volunteers for their time.
Mr. Temciano also outlined the senior seminar classes and other supports such as the district’s literacy summer camp; he credited teachers and community partners for providing experiential learning that prepares students for post‑secondary choices.
Board members thanked staff and volunteers; no policy changes were requested at the meeting, and administration said programming details would be finalized for upcoming planning timelines.
