Keystone Oaks schedules bids, playground remodel and service-contract renewal for upcoming meetings
Summary

District staff and the superintendent updated the board on several facilities and contract items that will appear on future agendas.
A staff speaker (S1) told the board a window-replacement bid award is expected on next week’s agenda and that supporting documents will be uploaded to the board packet. Superintendent (S3) said the bids for HVAC, electrical and other infrastructure work are in progress and may come before the board for approval in March or April depending on bid timing.
Superintendent (S3) also reported that three sealed proposals for playground remodeling at Aiken and Dormont will be presented for review and the board will need to approve the chosen proposal in February so work can begin when weather permits; the Myrtle site is excluded because of potential site reconfiguration.
On pupil personnel, the superintendent presented a one-year renewal of the district’s agreement with Western Psychiatric Hospital for student placements covering 01/21/2026–01/20/2027 and asked the board to update and approve the contract.
Why it matters: Approvals of bids and contracts authorize construction, safety and student-support services that affect campus facilities and where students may be placed when specialized services are required.
What’s next: Supporting documentation for bids will be added to the board capsule; the buildings-and-grounds committee and finance committee will review proposals and the board will consider approvals at upcoming business meetings.
