The presenter said the change is intended to give teachers and supervisors clearer authority to authorize or restrict device use.
The committee member said the proposed AR cross‑references other district administrative rules (AR 2 30 and AR 2 37) and recommended the board allow the administration to modify the AR as needed and then return it for approval the next week. Several board members nodded in agreement and no substantive objections were raised during the review.
The board did not take a final vote on AR 2 37 during the Oct. 13 session; administrators said they would process the revisions and present the updated regulation for approval at the next meeting.
