School board approves Red Rover personnel-records platform after presentation from HR director

The Conestoga Valley School District board voted by roll call on Jan. 12 to approve a contract to adopt Red Rover Records, an electronic personnel-filing add-on to the district’s current Red Rover hiring and onboarding platform.
Amy Horst, the district’s director of human resources, told the board the district has used Red Rover for hiring and onboarding for about eight months and is recommending adoption of the records module to streamline personnel file management. Horst said the district will serve as a demo site and receive about a 30% discount the first year while Red Rover builds the records platform.
"The hiring platform has really made a big difference," Horst said, noting that applicants now apply directly on the district website and that the district has filled several positions it previously struggled to staff.
The board conducted a motion to approve the contract (moved on the record by a board member and seconded) and then took a roll-call vote. Clerk called the roll; the transcript records unanimous 'aye' votes from the seven directors listed on the roll: Missus Graf, Mister Benigno, Doctor Martin, Mister Eby, Missus Koepka, Miss Givler and Mister Genssel. The chair announced the motion approved.
Board members asked whether Red Rover might expand into absence-management and time-clock modules; Horst said those products exist and that the district could consider them in the future but would not implement them mid-school year.
The board approved the Red Rover Records contract and asked staff to proceed with implementation.
