Carlynton board approves Massaro as construction manager for Carnegie Elementary renovation

The Carlynton School District Board of Directors on Nov. 19 voted to approve Massaro Construction Management Services as the construction manager for the Carnegie Elementary renovation.

District administrators told the board they conducted interviews of multiple construction-management teams and selected Massaro based on K–12 experience, the number and size of past projects, reputation and reference checks. "We interviewed several firms, went through the process with the interview team," an administrator said, explaining the district checked references with superintendents who had worked with finalists.

The recommendation will proceed to contract review by the district solicitor to ensure the agreement contains language to protect the district.
