District administration told the board it is reviewing several position realignments intended to improve workflow and better match duties to needs, not to automatically eliminate personnel.
The superintendent clarified language in the posted position list after concerns that some listings appeared to show one-for-one eliminations and additions. Administration said the k–12 music teacher posting is not intended to replace the district psychologist. Instead, the district is re-evaluating how best to provide student-services support and is developing job descriptions that could include a coordinator to oversee student services.
On transparency, administration reported the board adopted a policy to increase access to agendas: board agendas will continue to be posted online and will now also be made available in every district building and in the municipal building. For public comment, the district added an online sign-in form accessible from the board calendar and agendas page, a laptop workstation at meetings and a QR-code option so people can sign up from their mobile devices. The administration said collecting sign-ins digitally will reduce paperwork and allow better back-end data collection.
Administrators said they will continue refining position descriptions and return to the board with clarified language and any recommended implementation steps. The board reiterated its three-minute public-comment time limit and encouraged constituents to email administrators when more detailed follow-up is needed.
