The superintendent told the board the district has experienced recurring problems with Lifetouch, including missed retake appointments and late starts for staff ID photos, which have delayed yearbook production and forced the district to create temporary staff IDs.
Dr. Myers said the district documented communications and last year’s delays and that Lifetouch had paid some late fees previously but has been less responsive this year. “They just didn't show up,” he said of the retake visit that affected yearbook deadlines, and he told the board administration is exploring other local companies that deliver comparable service at similar cost.
Board members were informed the district will do vendor research and report options; no procurement action or contract change was made at the caucus.
