Blackhawk board votes to place consent and education items on Feb. 19 ballot; approves minutes and personnel consent items

The Blackhawk School Board used its Feb. 5 work session to organize the Feb. 19 voting agenda and to register routine approvals.
Chair Mrs. Klein moved to approve the board meeting minutes for the Jan. 15, 2026 training session; a trustee seconded the motion and the minutes were approved by voice vote.
Multiple consent and personnel items were added to the Feb. 19 voting agenda. A motion to add consent items 8.1–8.5 and 8.7 to the Feb. 19 voting session was made, seconded and approved. The board also moved to add personnel consent items 9.1 and 9.2 and support‑services consent items 11.1 and 11.2 (contracted mental‑health services funded by a PCCD grant) to the Feb. 19 agenda; those additions were approved by voice vote. Athletics and activities consent items (12.1–12.5) including three field trips were likewise placed on the Feb. 19 voting agenda.
On education business, the board moved to add LogHawk High School’s 2026–27 program of studies to the Feb. 19 voting agenda pending minor typographical corrections; administrators described preliminary work with Point Park on a teacher‑academy pathway during the discussion.
Policy business included a first reading and board approval to advance the revised school wellness policy (policy 2‑46) to the next stage for review. There was no recorded roll‑call vote for these procedural actions in the transcript; motions were approved by voice vote as recorded in the meeting.
The board offered public thanks to staff and building/grounds crews for their response to recent severe weather. Chair announced the next meeting will be Feb. 19, 2026 and the board adjourned by voice vote.
