Chair Bal Weber called the special board meeting to order and the board moved to adopt the agenda as presented; a director moved and another seconded and the motion carried on a 5–0 vote.
Staff reported there were no public comments for the meeting. The board then handled routine business: the board calendar includes a regular board meeting on Feb. 24 at 5:45 p.m., school visits on Feb. 26 at Lincoln and French Prairie starting at 11 a.m., and a budget committee training and listening session on March 3 at 5:45 p.m. Staff member Jenny asked for volunteers to staff the district table at the STEM Festival (Thursday, March 12, 6–8 p.m. at NELI; and an April 25 event), and several directors volunteered to sign up.
In open session the chair announced that the board would move into executive session "pursuant to ORS 1 9 2 dot 6 6 0 2 I" to review and evaluate employment relations and the performance of the chief executive officer, a closed personnel matter as read into the record. The board later returned to open session and the chair moved to adjourn; the meeting ended at 9:04 p.m.
No formal policy votes beyond adoption of the agenda and adjournment were recorded in open session.
