The Justice and Law Enforcement Committee recommended Ordinance 6 0 3 3 on Oct. 27, 2025, to appropriate $185,600 from the undesignated 2025 grant fund for a Family Court Division juvenile program grant received from the State of Missouri Division of Youth Services.
Chair Husky told members the appropriation amount in the packet had been updated; the previously listed $371,200 figure was corrected to $185,600. A testifier present confirmed the corrected amount. Legislator Megan Smith said she had no issue with the change.
Members moved and seconded to recommend the ordinance for perfection. The committee recorded affirmative voice votes and the chair announced the item will be recommended for perfection; Legislator Megan Smith provided a confirming affirmative voice when asked for a third vote.
The correction reduces the appropriation amount reported in the packet and the recommendation sends the amended ordinance forward for further legislative consideration.
