Jackson County health official unveils ‘Blue Box’ vending machines and urges coordinated opioid settlement plan

"For the second year in a row, we are seeing a national decrease overall in opioid overdose mortality. This is true for Jackson County as well," Dalugalecki said, but he warned that "the number of folks that we're losing from overdose events remains high overall." He said mortality among people of color in the county is roughly double that of white residents.
