Jackson County Legislature adopts consent agenda, moves several procurement contracts forward

The Jackson County Legislature on Nov. 17 placed multiple procurement and service agreements on the consent agenda and adopted them by roll call.
Items placed on and adopted from the consent agenda included an award for desk consoles for the Sheriff’s Office (not to exceed $169,807), a variety of term supply contracts for printing, pest management and mailing services, and other department equipment leases. Committee members recommended adoption of many of these items; several others were held for additional review by the relevant committee.
Separately, the legislature approved moving previously approved Housing Resources Commission funds so they could be disbursed. That item (introduced as resolution 22108) was adopted by roll call with 8 votes in favor and 1 absence.
The chair also announced that the legislature will hold two budget‑specific hearings Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 19–20 at 9 a.m., in the downtown legislative area.
Next steps: departments and county finance staff will proceed with procurement steps for consented contracts and the Housing Resources Commission will continue disbursement under the adopted action.
