At its meeting, the Rainier SD 13 board approved several administrative actions including an update to resolution No. 1, approval of a draft RFP for a bond consultant, a directive for the superintendent to draft a cell-phone restriction proposal and authorization to sell surplus skateboards and associated equipment.
Resolution 1: Board member (label 3) moved to approve Resolution 1 as updated; the motion was seconded and approved by voice/hand.
Draft RFP for bond consultant: The board moved to approve a draft RFP intended to retain a bond consultant to support a possible May 2026 bond election. The superintendent noted the timeline dates in the draft remain to be filled in and legal review was part of the preparation process. Motion moved (board member label 4), seconded and carried.
Surplus equipment: The board authorized sale/auction of surplus skateboards, helmets and related PE equipment after a member raised questions about other surplus items; the motion carried.
