Board delays action on proposed head-lice policy language pending review

Under board rules the second reading of policy requires a unanimous full-board vote, so the board paused further action and agreed to pull the proposed language for more review at a later meeting. A board member offered to circulate explanation notes to the rest of the board before the next discussion.
Superintendent Terry said the new language was contrary to what some parents and school staff expect; several board members expressed agreement that more discussion was appropriate. The chair noted the item will return to a future agenda for fuller consideration. No vote was taken on the policy language during the public session.
