Board members discussed scheduling a special meeting in August to "set the numbers" after student registration and confirmed summer program logistics and enrollment.
The chair and other members debated whether to meet Aug. 8 at 6:00 p.m. or wait until Aug. 16; several members indicated they could make an Aug. 8 meeting and the chair proposed meeting at 6:00 p.m. for convenience to families. One member noted travel conflicts but agreed to attempt to call in if necessary.
A committee member reported the summer activity sessions are full, estimating about 40 to 45 elementary-aged children attending each date. The member described the day plan: playground time, bus-run activities, lunch, a park and pool visit, and family pickup in the afternoon. The board also noted kindergarten "jump start" begins the same week and marked the regular meeting on Aug. 19 on the calendar.
The chair adjourned the meeting at 07:41.
