Perrydale SD 21 board moves October meeting and posts registration, fair and swim plans

The Perrydale SD 21 board voted to move its October meeting from Oct. 20 to Oct. 13 and shared several upcoming dates for families.
During the business portion, a committee member proposed pushing the October meeting back a week because two members will be out of state; the board moved, seconded and approved the date change by voice vote. The board also confirmed a special board meeting scheduled for the seventh (date posted), and discussed attendance and calling in when members will be absent.
Staff announced kindergarten registration will open the week of the fourth (the staff member said registration was Monday the fourth), and reminded the community about the district fair and participation by students. The board recorded that there were no patron comments during the meeting’s public-input period.
Trustees also reviewed summer activity plans: a committee member said an August 5 swimming outing to the Albany pool is planned, that the district will take about 50 children at a time, and that the pool has been popular with younger students in previous years. The meeting adjourned after those announcements.
