"Usually around December, January time, we have the first draft of the calendar to you guys," a staff presenter said. "I'm looking by February to have a finalized calendar for the board, with input from all of the stakeholders."
Members also discussed the effect of changed schedules on attendance and staffing; staff cited improved attendance on trial Fridays but noted transportation and supervision challenges for families. A board member asked whether tutorial or half‑day Friday models could be used at elementary schools for targeted support; staff said options exist and could be layered in as systems and staffing settle. The board did not vote on the calendar at the work session; staff said the item will appear for action at the next regular meeting.
