A teacher said, "He consistently demonstrates excellent behavior by showing respect to his teacher and classmates, using kind words and setting good leadership examples for others." The board also honored Sebastian Delafuente Ramirez for strong academic growth and improved attendance; staff reported his math and reading progress as approximately a grade level and a half in the first half of the year.
Eighth-grader Jessica Ayola Anaya received praise from multiple teachers for rapid English-language development and active classroom participation; teacher comments noted she has "consistently demonstrated exceptional effort and growth" in ELD classes. The board also recognized a virtual-program student, Katie/Kaden Scott, for academic dedication and extracurricular involvement.
Staff recognized Alex, a ninth-grade English teacher and coach, as employee of the month for "a strong commitment to student learning, positive connection, and personal growth." Volunteers Nikki and Alice Cutler were named volunteers of the month for sustained support of athletics, helping with scorekeeping and event logistics.
Greta Chamberlain received multiple nominations highlighting her transition to the school, leadership in student activities, athletic contributions and role in student fellowship programs. The board invited award recipients and their families to have photos taken for the district's Facebook page.
The recognitions occupied the opening portion of the meeting and reflected teacher and staff nominations; no formal board action was required beyond the acknowledgments.
