District reports 2023–24 audit filed, Care Solace mental‑health partnership and $5,020 in teacher grants

The board heard a brief series of district updates: finance reported the 2023–24 financial audit was completed and submitted to the Oregon Department of Education on time; the superintendent highlighted a new Care Solace partnership to expand access to mental‑health providers; and the Lebanon Schools Foundation announced teacher grant awards totaling $5,020.
Finance representative Steven told the board the district’s 2023–24 audit looked good and would be included in next month’s packet. "We received our 23–24 financial audit report on time, and it was submitted last week to ODE," he said.
Superintendent Jen described the Care Solace collaboration—implemented in November—to connect students, families and staff with care coordinators who search for providers and appointment availability. She reported 20 referrals, 22 cases and five appointments set so far and noted materials are available in Spanish.
Jen also said the Lebanon Schools Foundation awarded $5,020 in teacher grants across the district and $2,550 from the Jean Hartle Fund to LHS to offset student pharmacy and EMT testing costs to support career certification pathways; she plans a slideshow later to showcase grant projects.
