New Milton-Freewater school board member Mary says she joined to serve the district she grew up in

Mary said she would describe the district as "a great school district. Very diverse, multicultural school district, open to a lot of changes, open to growth, and open, to anybody that's willing to come to the school district." She added that her immediate goal as a board member is to be involved and to learn how she can help.
Duff thanked Mary for volunteering on the Milton-Freewater School District board and for what she brings to the community. The brief session consisted of introductions and remarks; there were no motions, votes, or formal agenda actions during the exchange.
Mary closed by reiterating her appreciation for the opportunity to serve. The discussion focused on personal background and early priorities rather than specific policy decisions or timelines.
