Lebanon board swears in members, elects Nicole Pilon as chair

Laura Lee Engler recited the oath of office after being introduced for Zone 2, stating, "I, Laura Lee Engler, having been duly elected, a member of the school board of Lebanon Community School District, Linn County, Oregon, do solemnly swear..." Michael Martin likewise recited the oath before the board.
The board moved and approved acceptance of the recent election results by voice vote. During the reorganization item a board member moved to elect Nicole Pilon as board chair for 2025–26; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. A nomination and second for vice chair (Melissa) also carried.
The actions were conducted by voice roll call (ayes recorded verbally) and the board moved on to other agenda business. No formal tally beyond the recorded "ayes" was announced at the meeting.
Looking ahead, the board will continue routine organization work at future meetings and staff will circulate any follow-up orientation materials for new members.
