He said the district surveyed students before and after the fair and reported measurable increases in favorable responses: on-time attendance assessments rose from 68% pre-fair to 80% post-fair, trustworthiness ratings moved from 67% to 80%, and following directions improved from 55% to 71%.
Board members praised the event’s interactive nature and asked Harkins to keep expanding outreach; Harkins said the district plans to keep vendor lunch to maintain attendance and to invite neighboring districts and private schools to broaden participation next year.
