Trustees also approved an overnight advanced environmental science field trip proposed in a letter signed by Trent Hatfield. The request described a May 2025 float trip on the Klamath River and visits to Redwood State Park and Crater Lake; staff said curriculum-based trips may receive a 70% reimbursement for transportation costs and that the district would cover transportation and substitute costs while grants and student fundraising would pay lodging and admissions.
Finally, the board approved a golf co-op with Coquille High School so that Coquille students can play with Bandon players when that school lacks enough participants to field a team; staff said the arrangement is handled by coaches and athletic directors and will not change Bandon's roster counts.
