Banks SD 13 Superintendent Brian Cica lays out five priorities for new school year

Brian Cica, superintendent of schools for the Banks School District, opened a brief back-to-school address by welcoming staff and previewing the return of students next week. "I just wanna welcome everyone back to a new school year," he said, adding that staff were returning this week and students would be welcomed the following week.
Cica framed the district's work around five promises to the community, saying, "I just wanna share with you 5 things that we promise to deliver to you as our community." He listed the priorities as efforts "to empower our students, to energize our team, energize our staff, to engage our community, to enrich our facilities, and to align our resources." He added that the district believes accomplishing those priorities will fulfill its promise to the community and help ensure that "every student, every staff member, every community member is happy and proud of their experiences with the Banks School District."
To keep the public informed, Cica pointed to ongoing communications channels. He said the district will use a monthly newsletter and its social media pages to share updates, and invited community members to contact him directly: "if you ever any have any questions, just give me a call. I'd love love to set up a chance to talk to you."
Cica closed by saying he looked forward to seeing people during the year and offered a parting slogan: "go Braves." No formal actions, votes or policy changes were announced during the remarks.
