The superintendent said attempts will be made to form the committee and to pare policy language to the district’s size where appropriate.
On instruction, board members praised a district focus on structured supports for student growth and raised concerns about differentiation at the middle and high school level, and about restoring AP and advanced-course opportunities by investing in teacher training. The superintendent said the district will pursue grants and training to expand AP offerings and support differentiated instruction.
