Trustees voted to accept a $10,000 donation from Dr. Jason Bannister and Sixth Avenue Honda to support programs at Del City High School. The motion passed unanimously.
The board approved several equipment purchases discussed during the meeting: three Polaris ATVs (one per high school) to support emergency response plans; 190 premixed digital wall clocks to modernize timekeeping and network synchronization; and three Genie scissor lifts for high school performing arts centers to aid rigging and lighting maintenance. Trustees also approved purchase of multimedia production equipment for the Tech Center supported by an Oklahoma Lottery grant.
On finance and staffing items, the board approved the 2024–25 estimates of needs for the sinking fund (millage targeted at about 31.53 mills), a negotiated agreement increase to reimburse Tech Center conference attendance up to $725, and revisions to Midale Tech Center pay rates to reflect new program categories. Trustees also approved submitting a deregulation request for library media staffing to the State Department of Education where sites fall marginally below required thresholds.
All motions in this block passed by unanimous roll call votes.
