Trustees approved a motion to pay OPEPP members $25 per meeting for a three‑year program term. Board discussion noted that first‑year funding would not fully cover costs but that funding over the three‑year period is expected to exceed expenditures. Amber (the program lead) will continue a needs assessment to shape in‑house paraprofessional training.
The board also approved the purchase services consent agenda; two of the four contracts are paid with grant funding, and trustees described the contracts as expanding existing services rather than creating a new program. Personnel items were approved pending proper certification and paperwork.
Other approved items included an overnight FFA trip to Columbus for the state convention and an MOU amending Article 29 of the OTC agreement related to hours and overtime pay; the change was described as scheduling overtime and assigning coverage when no one claims a shift. The board voted to update several job descriptions, including districtwide curriculum and instructional coach, athletic director, esteemed teacher and director of operations.
The meeting moved toward an executive session to consider employment matters; trustees were told no action would follow the executive session.
