Board approves CRA and PILOT for Amazon data center; tax abatement, PILOT disclosed

"This is related to the Amazon data center. It's gonna be built here in the city," the Chair said during the motion.
The board conducted a roll-call-style approval: members recorded as voting yes included Wilson, Newby, Timwell and Dickman, and the motion carried. The resolution authorizes district staff and legal counsel to finalize associated CRA documents and PILOT terms.
Board members did not discuss detailed PILOT payment amounts during the public portion of the meeting; the resolution and related documents were attached to the meeting materials for review.
