The Springfield Global Schools Board on Aug. 19 approved several transportation and safety items: bus routes for the 2025–26 school year, a resolution authorizing payment in lieu when transportation to other schools is impractical, a service agreement to provide an attendance coordinator at the high school, and a one‑year memorandum of understanding with the Village of Lakemore to provide a school resource officer (SRO) for July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026.
Staff described the routes as a "living document" that will change as enrollment shifts, and the board authorized the superintendent or designee to make route adjustments for safety and enrollment needs. The bus routes are provided in Exhibit 10a–10c.
The board approved a resolution declaring transportation to other schools impractical in accordance with Ohio Revised Code sections 3327.01 and 3327.02 and authorized payment in lieu of providing the transportation; supporting materials are in Exhibit 11. Administrators noted the district periodically reviews which schools can feasibly receive district transportation and has removed and added schools as circumstances change.
Separately, the board approved a service agreement with the Village of Lakemore Police Department to provide an attendance coordinator for the high school and approved an SRO memorandum of understanding for the 2025–26 year as required by Ohio Revised Code section 3313.951.
All motions were moved, seconded and approved by the board at the meeting.
