Board approves construction manager-at-risk for Diley renovation

The Pickerington Local School District board on Oct. 13 approved a resolution to add a construction manager at risk (CMAR) — Resili — for the Diley renovation project.
District staff told the board the CMAR role was not part of the original guaranteed maximum price for the Diley work but that the building plan has evolved and adding Resili is necessary to proceed through procurement. "This was not in their original agreement when we put the GMP together," a district project lead said, asking for the board's approval so procurement steps can move forward.
The board moved, seconded and approved the resolution by roll call. No member opposed the action.
Staff said the approval allows Resili to be formally included in procurement processes for Diley and that further project details and contract terms will follow staff reports to the board as required.
